About thirty years ago, I was introduced to handbells. I’ve been playing them off and on ever since. When I was moving from Japan to Germany, and then back to the States, playing bells was one of the few constants in my life.
This past Saturday, my bell choir hosted a bell festival comprised of five area bell choirs. The choirs played about half a dozen songs as a team, but this song was one of our group’s solos. If you’re a fan of Mission Impossible or James Bond, I thought you might enjoy hearing it:
We practiced with a guest conductor for seven hours before performing. It was exhausting but so much fun. If I ever am fortunate enough to get a chance to audition with a professional bell choir, I’ll take it. What things are on your bucket list that no one would suspect?
